The Under 16’s had another good performance against Glenelg on the weekend at Home.
Jack Mumford from Wallaroo made his debut after a knee injury during preseason. Playing as a defender he quickly picked up the tempo.
Our first half in particular was very good, going into the half time break with a 44 point lead. Glenelg challenged after the half time break but to our lad’s credit we weathered the challenge and out scored Glenelg in the third by 5 points. We continued to play the game out in the last and went on to win by 64 points.
With a good even contribution and with 9 Goalkickers. Lead by Jamie Russell Swanson with 3, 2 each to Cooper Quick & Cooper Reschke and singles to Hayden Willmott, Max Farrugia, Nathan Kovacic, Flynn Young, Jevan Phillipou & Dylan Turner.
Brock Jamieson & Jevan Phillipou had an impact on the Game thru the midfield, Jamie Russsell Swanson was good up forward, with Jack Leys on the wing, Owen Hartley Brown down back & Nathan Kovacic forward & mid all playing good games.
We wish Jack Cook, James Chalubek, Logan Hughes, Brock Jamieson, Jevan Phillipou & Lachlan Sands all the best in the Under 16 Internal Selection Trial game on Friday night
This week we take on West Adelaide at Home, which should be a big day of footy as we have our Under 13 & 14 Metropolitan Squads preceding the 16’s & 18’s.
