Under 18’s Round 1 Match Report

The under 18s had a good win on Saturday beating the Roosters 23 goals 9 points to 8 goals 5 points.  The win was set up with a very good first quarter where, kicking with the aid of a breeze, we kicked 7 goals to North Adelaide’s one to have a good lead at quarter time which we held to half time after North had their turn with the breeze.  We then finished the match strongly to win comfortably.  It was a very even performance across the team and we had 5 players play their first game of Under 18s football in Zac Buck, Caleb Poulter, Luke Barnett, Jacob Godden and Harry Dawkins and they all acquitted themselves well.  Lachie McNeil, Harry Schoenberg, Luke Beecken and Zane Williams played well in our midfield, Caleb Smith did some great work in our defence and Josh Morris (5 goals) , Jamie Coff (4 goals) and Deakan Jackson (3 goals) were good contributors up forward.

This week we are looking forward to our first game at Maughan Thiem KIA Oval when we take on Sturt from 1.15pm on Saturday.
