U16’s Match Report – Round 18

To continue our journey in 2022 in was as simple as a good performance today and we would have the opportunity to play in the Under 16 Finals.

Kicking with a slight breeze, South came out strong in the first 6 or 7 minutes and our defence was under extreme pressure, full credit to the lads in which they were able to weather the storm and create opportunities them selves leading 3.1 to 1.3 at the quarter time break. Our ability to hunt the footy was a feature of our game and certainly continued with that during the second quarter by going into the half time break with a 29 point lead. Our second half was as encouraging as the first in which we were able to maintain the ascendency and go on to win by 40 points.

Our midfield was well serviced by Tom Luck Ruck, On ballers Jack Cook, Lachie Lucas, & Kade Herbert. Whilst Centre Half Back Brodie Harris returning from College did an excellent job in defence with Tyler Welsh being a presence up forward taking 7 marks and kicking 2 goals, other goal kickers include Alex Daly 2, Lachie Sands 2 and singles to Jack Cook, Kade Herbert, Brayden Phillips & Declan Walshaw.

A bye weekend this weekend for College intercol as we prepare to take on North Adelaide the week after in a Semi Final.
