The Woodville West Torrens Football Club can confirm to all members, supporters and corporate partners the signing of Tyson Stengle
Tyson returns back to the Club for Season 2021 after initially being drafted by Richmond in the 2017 Rookie Draft. After spending two seasons with Richmond, Tyson has spent the last two years at the Adelaide Football Club.
After parting ways earlier this week with the Adelaide Football Club, Tyson is excited and looking forward to being back in a familiar environment and having an impact on field in helping the Eagles with continued success. Tyson will undertake a fulltime Traineeship within the Eagles Football Department where he will work closely in the Education and Diversity sector.
On Tyson returning to the Club, CEO Luke Powell said ‘ As a Club we are excited to have Tyson commit to the Eagles, we pride ourselves on being a family Club and Tyson is one of our ex-juniors so we need to wrap our arms around him regardless of the well documented mistakes he’s made in the past. Tyson has ambitions to get back into the AFL system in future and we fully support him in trying to accomplish this, but our main focus is to help set Tyson on the right path for his next phase of his life and we are very confident we have the support network both within the Club, while accessing strong cultural leaders connected to our Club. Tyson will be a great asset to our playing group.’
Please join the WWTFC in welcoming Tyson to the Club.
