South Adelaide forward Shae Archbold will have her chance to shine when she lines up in South Australia’s third game of the NAB AFL U18 Girls National Championships in Werribee on Friday.
Currently the second highest goal scorer in the Hostplus SANFLW League, the 15-year-old is one of three inclusions to confront fellow undefeated side Victoria Metro from 11.45am SA time.
Archbold has been joined by Glenelg ruck Matilda Scholz and Sturt utility Millie McCarthy, the latter named to start on the interchange bench.
They replace West’s Lucy Boyd, Central’s Charlotte Riggs and North’s Timeka Cox, who have been squeezed out of the line-up.
Originally scheduled to play the Allies in Game 3, the Croweaters will now confront Victoria Metro in a blockbuster clash to effectively decide the best team of the championships.
SA has comfortably won its first two games, defeating Western Australia by 84 points at Thebarton Oval and Victoria Country by 92 points at Adelaide Oval.
