Round 4 Women’s Development Match Report

We were back at Hisense Stadium bright and early Saturday morning to take on an undefeated Glenelg.
A perfect morning for football, the game was highly contested throughout. Glenelg started strongly kicking the first of the game, but I felt after that we were able to control and lock the ball inside our half of the ground for large periods of the game due to our team’s defence throughout the game. The lead changed consistently throughout the day with the girls hitting the front halfway through the fourth quarter. It was a fantastic effort by the team to get their first win of the season and will fill them with plenty of confidence heading into the last 3 games of the Development League season.

It was extremely tough to single out individuals this weekend with solid contributors across the ground, special mentions to Bianca Portaro, Audrey Holt, Megan Andresen, Nakita McRostie and Amber Evlin who were outstanding.
This weekend we head out to X Convenience Oval to take on North Adelaide at 9:40am Saturday morning. We hope to see plenty of the eagles faithful out there supporting the group.
