Round 2 U16’s Match Report

Along with the 18 players who debuted at Under 16 last week, another 2, Boston Hodges & Ray Sumner played their first Under 16 game for the Club.

This week the Under 16’s started in good fashion but couldn’t capitalise on their work going forward, kicking the first 4 points of the game until registering a goal. To North’s credit, they were able to get back in the game during the second half of the first and only trailed by 5 points. North continued their good work during the second quarter and lead by 9 points.

Our lads rallied at half time and were more determined to put in a better effort during the third, in which they did, however everyone was trying to win the game off their own boot and unfortunately we were only able to register 5 points, to North’s 2 goals, 2. North kept up the momentum in the last and outscored us gain to go onto win by 16 points.

We had 7 single goal kickers in Tom Luck, Charlie West, Brock Jamieson, Dominic Parisi, Ray Sumner, Rome Burgoyne & Tyler Welsh. With West, Kade Hebert, Luck , Jett Hasting, Hayden Willmott and Rome Burgoyne having a serviceable game.

This week we take on Norwood for our first home game of the season.
