Jordann Hickey joins SANFLW Team

The Woodville West Torrens Football Club is excited to announce that the Club has signed Jordann Hickey for the 2022 SANFLW season.

Hickey, from Alice Springs, spent the last two seasons on the Gold Coast Suns AFLW list where she played nine games in that time. At the end of the 2021 AFLW season she joined South Adelaide for the back end of the SANFLW season where she played four matches before returning to Alice Springs.

Hickey, a key forward, will be reunited with Narelle Smith who was one of the assistant coaches at NT Thunder, a team Hickey was a part of from 2017-2019.

“Jordy Hickey is another fantastic addition to our current playing list.  Jordy brings great football experience having been on several AFLW lists and comes to us off the back of winning the AFLNT Seniors Women’s Grand Final with Rovers in Alice Springs”, said coach Narelle Smith. “Jordy is a talented footballer with incredible game sense and she will provide the drive and connect to help us compete and challenge other teams in the SANFLW. We are looking to provide her the tools to take her football to the next level.”

“I am really excited to be joining the Club and getting stuck into pre season with the girls,” said Hickey. “I am looking forward to being coached by Narelle again. I think under her guidance this group can take the next step and I can’t wait to be a part of that.”
