The Woodville West Torrens Football Club wishes to advise all its members, sponsors and supporters that Jordan Foote will not be returning for Season 2021. Jordan has relocated back to Sydney for employment opportunities.
It has been a successful two seasons at Oval Avenue for the fourth generation Eagle. In his first season at the Club, Jordan played state football and took home the Perce Johns Medal as the Club Champion. He then went on to back it up with another very strong 2020 campaign culminating with a Premiership and a Jack Oatey medal for his best on ground performance in the Grand Final.
On his decision to depart Jordan said “My decision not to play with the Eagles in 2021 was an extremely difficult one, however I felt it was time to move on to the next chapter in my life. I’m extremely grateful for the people I’ve met along the way; the coaches, the support staff, the supporters & I’m especially grateful for the friendships that I’ll have for the rest of my life. I’m looking forward to watching the boys at Oval Avenue in the future and having a beer afterwards. It’s truly a great club & I feel privileged to be a part of it.”
Coach Jade Sheedy said, “During his time at the Eagles Jordan’s dedication to get the best out of himself and play his role for the team has been first class. We wish him all the best with his new venture back in Sydney. We hope that one day we can see Jordan pull the Eagles jumper on again.”
