Big Red Calls Time

Jarred was a member of the Eagles 2011 Premiership side, supporting lead ruckman Craig Parry. He made his AFL debut in 2012, going on to play 16 games before returning to the Eagles in 2016.

Upon his return, he slotted into the number one ruck role, and was pivotal in helping the Eagles to Back To Back Premierships in 2020 & 2021.

“What a great contributor Jarrad has been to the Football Club over a long period of time” Jade Sheedy says.

“It has been a privilege to coach Reddo and see up close how good he is at his craft. He has played a major role in the Club’s recent successes. We wish Jarrad, Hannah and Judah all the best for the future”.

Jarred Redden says “I’d like to thank the Eagles footy club for all the support given to me over the years. After a lengthy discussion with family I have decided to hang up the boots and call it a day with the Eagles. I have made so many great mates and met amazing people through my journey here and the years spent in the AFL with Port Adelaide. I’ll have many more thanks to give, but thank you to all the supporters, members, team mates, coaches, support staff, Doctors, physios, and most of all my family. I look forward to what life holds for myself and my family, but will certainly remember my time with the Woodville West Torrens Football Club.”

Redden will go out as one of only 4 players to be a three time Premiership player at the Club, and will look to add to his 144 SANFL games and 74 goals this weekend at Noarlunga against South Adelaide, in what could be his last game.
