The Woodville West Torrens Football Club wishes to advise its members, sponsors and supporters that the Club has secured Narelle Smith as our SANFLW Head Coach for the next two seasons.
“Narelle has been involved within Women’s football here in South Australia for a long time”, said CEO Luke Powell.
“With her passion for the game and experiences spanning across all levels of women’s football, we see Narelle as the perfect person to lead this group and take their football to the next level.”
After 130 games as a player in the Adelaide Footy League, Smith has an extensive coaching resume including stints as coach of Morphettville Park Women’s in the Adelaide Footy League, Glenelg SANFLW and the Glenelg Reserves before her most recent role as an assistant coach of the Adelaide Crows AFLW side.
On her appointment Smith said, “The SANFLW is an exciting competition. I feel fortunate to be able to work with and lead this up and coming talented playing squad and look forward to the challenge and joy it will bring. It will be a great time for Eagle supporters to follow this playing group as we look to take the next step in their development in the SANFLW competition.”
