We took on Sturt again this week for the second week in a row with 6 player changes from last week, another group of lads got to experience playing against good opposition.
Sturt jumped out of the blocks well and opened up a 3 goal lead at Quarter time, the second quarter was more of the first with Sturt kicking another 5 goals to our one for the quarter. Sturt were playing some really good footy in the first half with their spread & ball movement forward catching a lot of our players out of position. And took a 7 goal lead into half time.
The third was much of the same as the first half with Start again kicking 5 goals for the quarter with ourselves only mustering the one.
Playing for some pride in the last our lads battled it out with Sturt only winning the quarter by 5 points. Full credit to Sturt who displayed why they are 3 wins clear on Top of the ladder went on to win by 71 points.
James Chalubek & Jack Cook had some good moments, whilst Tain Mathie & Jack Mumford battled hard with Cooper Reschke & Owen Hartley Brown doing a serviceable job in defence.
Jevan Phillipou kicked 2 goals, with singles to Tain Mathie, Mitchell Scholes, Jack Mumford & Noah AhChee.
We wish the Private School lads all the best as they return to College Football as we look forward to taking on North Adelaide on August 12 at Prospect.
