Villi’s U16’s Match Report – Round 14

After a good performance last week away from home we were looking to do the same this week against Norwood.

Our start wasn’t at a level in which we would have liked with Norwood kicking 5 goals to our 1. But Full credit to the lads in their response during the second Quarter in which we kicked 6 goals to Norwood’s 1 point and went into half time with a 14 point lead.

We continued our good work in our ability to win the ball back quickly kicking 7 goals, with a little inaccuracy in front of goals kicking 7goals 11 to Norwood’s 3 goals 4 in the second half to run out victors by 45 points.

With 8 different Goal kickers, Jevan Phillipou with 6, Khye Maddern 2, singles to Brock Jamieson, Jamie Russell Swanson, Mitchell Scholes, Wil Fiegert, James Chalubek & Lachie Sands we were able to put good score board pressure on Norwood.

In what was a pretty good team effort, our best players were JevanPhillipou, Elliot Stubing, Jack Cook, Lachie Sands, Hayden Willmott & Will Rayner.

This week we look forward to taking on Sturt who are well clear at the Top of the table.
