Villi’s U16’s Match Report – Round 11

With Eight Changes and Ben Scheuffele playing his first game of the Year we took on West Adelaide at Home in Round 11.

Unfortunately we got of to a slow start and West took a lead of 22 points going into the first change.

Our second quarter was much better and the scores were tied away at Half time, however the third quarter was much the same as the first and West held a commanding lead of 30 points going into the last change, we rallied to some what in the last but West was too good on the day and ran out victors by 31 points.

Our better players include Hayden Willmott, Owen Hartley Brown who also kicked 2 goals, Jamie Russell Swansson who kicked 3 goals, Will Rayner in Ruck & up forward who also kicked a goal, Jack Mumford down back & Zane Peucker in the midfield. Noah AhChee & Tain Mathie were our other individual goal kickers.

We congratulate Jack Cook, Logan Hughes, Brock Jamieson, Jevan Phillipou & Lachie Sands on making the State Under 16 Squad of 30 that plays over the next couple of weeks.

Our next game is on July 1 in which we take on South Adelaide at Noarlunga.
