Round 2 Women’s League Match Report

The Eagles Women’s League team had their first Friday night clash for Season 2022 at Hisense Stadium v West Adelaide.

We started extremely well and piled on 4.1 goals in the first quarter.  Sedunary made an early impact kicking 2 of the first 4 goals – her first goal within 40 seconds of the match.  Our effort and ability to control the contest was a huge step forward in achieving how we want to play.  It was pleasing to see how well our back 5 stood up when West Adelaide had some momentum at various times of the match.

From an offensive perspective, we were able to score a major in every quarter giving this team its largest score in our short history.  There were contributors all over the ground including another standout performance from Goody who continues her good early season form. The challenge now is to find consistent performances like this one and replicate them on a weekly basis.  We now head to Coopers Stadium to face Norwood under lights for our second Friday night game.
