Round 3 saw us back at home against the Adelaide Crows in what were great conditions for footy, as the boys wore a slightly different playing jumper to raise awareness for breast cancer as part of our breast cancer awareness round.
Following the loss at Glenelg, we had a clear focus all week at training around our defence, which I felt showed significantly throughout the game.
The first quarter seen us get off to a good start thanks to Zane Williams with 2 goals, with midfield also playing some good footy.
The second quarter seen us continue on from this, allowing us to go up 6 goals into half time.
The second half seen the game played predominately in our forward half once again through some midfield dominance which led to 15 goals and 11 individual goalkickers.
I am proud of the boys efforts and the way we bounced back since round 2.
Congratulations to Tyson Stengle who debuted with us, making him the 10th debutant of the year. He also has been nominated for Channel 7 Goal of The Week.
Better players on the day were Jack Hayes, Riley Knight, Tyson Stengle, Zane Williams and Clay Cameron.
Congratulations to Zane Williams who also came out of Round 3 with Powerade Breakthrough Player Of The Week.
We cannot wait to face North Adelaide and are lucky enough play on ANZAC Day at home, so lets see all the Eagle Supporters in what should be a great game of footy.
