Goodlife Health Clubs Semi Final League Match Report

We were back at Adelaide Oval in what was a big clash for the second semi final against North Adelaide. The first 10 minutes of the game saw North more desperate for the ball. They were kicking with a slight breeze and played the game in their forward half better than we did.

In the second quarter we were able to get our hands on the ball and play it in our front half without hitting the score board with affect.

Half time saw us a goal down; and the message was positive – knowing that North had dominated most of the key stats.

The third quarter saw North dominate the centre bounce and clearance; kicking 3 goals and keeping us scoreless in a quarter that saw our defenders put under a lot pressure.

The last quarter seen us with plenty of opportunites; but  we left our run to late. Full credit to North Adelaide who were the better team of the day.

Goal kickers for the day were Nick Hayes, James Rowe & Jake Von Bertouch all with 2 goals; with single goals to Goldsworthy, McNeil & Tsitas.

Better players on the day were Lachy Jones & Sam Rowland in defence. Lachy McNeil through the midfield; and Nick Hayes in the forward.

Congratulations to Brad Graham & the Reserves team in going through the Grand Final; and Shane Reardon & the U18 in winning their first semi on Saturday.

Our boys are prepared and ready to go against an in form South Adelaide; looking forward to seeing all the Eagles supporters at Adelaide Oval to get right behind us.
