Changes to the Board

The Woodville West Torrens Football Club wishes to advise members of the following changes to the Board structure on the conclusion of the AGM.

Christine Williams has been elected as President/Chair. Christine, a Board Member and Finance Director since 2008 had this to say on her appointment, ‘I am delighted at being selected as President and Chair of this great Club and am looking forward to working with the Board and members over the coming year’.

The Board of Directors also elected D’Arcy Evans to take on the role of Finance Director and appointed David Couzner as League Director. Both Darcy and David are excited about the opportunity to work cohesively with the Board to maintain a strong and stable Club.

At the conclusion of the AGM, Life Member, Kurt Slaven announced that he would be stepping down as President, a role which he has held since 2009. Kurt’s leadership and guidance through this period has seen the Club excel in many areas on and off the field.

Kurt would like to thank the members and supporters of WWTFC for their support over the journey and wishes Christine all the best in her role as President.

Since the conclusion of the AGM, Kurt has resigned from the Board to pursue a position on the SANFL Commission. One of the requirements when applying for the Commission is that applicants can’t hold any position within a SANFL club. The WWTFC would like to thank Kurt for his outstanding work and passion for the Club, as a Board Member since 2007 Kurt has overseen and implemented many initiatives to help the Club maintain a strong relevance in the Community. We wish Kurt all the best in his endeavours in gaining a place on the SANFL Commission.
