The Woodville West Torrens Football Club wishes to advise all its members, sponsors and supporters that James Boyd will not be continuing on at the Club in 2020.
In his 6 years at Oval Avenue, James played 96 of his 206 SANFL League matches, represented his State on 3 occasions and won the 2018 Perce Johns Medal as Club Champion.
On his decision to depart James said “The Eagles have been a massive part of my life and this is one of the harder decisions I’ve had to make. I have no doubt this group will have the success it deserves in the near future.”
CEO Luke Powell said, “We wish James all the best for the future as he moves on to the next phase of his life. James has had a wonderful SANFL career that he and his family should be very proud of.”
In addition to the departure of James Boyd, Jack Gaffney, Cooper Gaffney, Joseph Heinjus, Isaac Moller and Xavier Redden have advised the Club that they do not wish to play at SANFL level in 2020.
On their departure’s CEO Luke Powell said, “It is disappointing to lose some quality young men from our Football Club; however, we hope to see them return to Oval Avenue in the near future.”
