The 2019 Draft has concluded this morning and the Woodville West Torrens Football Club have had an equal club high of 6 players to make their way onto an AFL List.
Wednesday night was the first round of the National Draft. Excitement machine Kysaiah Pickett was the first Eagle to find his way on to an AFL list, selected by Melbourne at pick 12.
The 2nd day of the National Draft was held Thursday night. Midfielder Harry Schoenberg was the first selected at pick 24 by the Adelaide Crows. Following him was pick 25 by Port Adelaide; who matched a bid from Sydney for Father-Son prospect, Jackson Mead. In the later part of the draft Hawthorn swooped on goalkicking forward Josh Morris with pick 57, whilst Michael Frederick who won the Alan Stewart Medal as Best on Ground in the Under 18’s Grand Final, will head west to Fremantle after being selected with pick 61.
This Rookie Draft was held this morning and Port Adelaide took another Father-Son prospect in Trent Burgoyne with pick 22.
