It is always a great time of the year to playing football and with hardly a breath of wind and nice and sunny conditions the boys were keen for the contest against Sturt.

Having played them 3 times in the last 6 weeks and losing each encounter we were confident that if we stuck to our standards for longer we could get the win.

The first quarter was a game of varying styles. Sturt were able to control the football with their short kicking game but with limited opportunities we were able to hit the scoreboard with some accurate goal kicking to take a 22 point lead into quarter time.

Sturt were able to work themselves into the contest in the second and third quarter with some quick ball movement. Even with Sturt coming hard as they had done so 2 weeks earlier our group showed some real courage to finish off the last 5 minutes of the quarter to take in a 7 point lead.

This group has been driving some real energy through the finals series and our leaders stood up at the beginning of the fourth to take control as we ended 46 point victors and head into the grand final against Norwood on Sunday.
